Daniel's 747 Story

Very sad the Queen of the sky has now gone. My one and only ever flight on a 747 was the last ever domestic flight for the Jumbo from Melbourne to Sydney on the 17th of February 2020. I am 40 years old and never had the chance to fly overseas so my time to fly at least once on the 747 had to be then. Booked around 6 months before the flight but could not check in until 24 hours before the flight. Set alarm to check in as soon as I could only to find out I was allocated a rubbish seat. Rang Qantas and they told me that I might be able to change seat the next morning. Bugger that, I only live 20 minutes from the airport so drove straight down there and pleaded my case. After hearing I was literally catching this plane to tick a box, buy my kids Krispy Kreme doughnuts in Sydney and flying back to Melbourne 2 hours later I was upgraded to a window in Premium economy. Had a great flight taking many pics then to top it off was able to get a cockpit tour and being able to sit in the captain’s chair was awesome. Thanks for the memories VH-OEH
