John's 747 Story
“My love affair with the 747 began when VH-OJA was retired in Albion park. me and two workmates at the time flocked to see the jumbo land on such a short runway. since then i visited the jumbo every time i was in the Illawarra and even nearly volunteered at the museum it is stored at.
i had planned to fly on a Qantas 747 fron Sydney to Tokyo Haneda, but COVID-19 changed all that. i was very fortunate to hop on a domestic flight from Sydney - Brisbane and on the Sydney farewell flight. i just wish i had more interest in the jumbo earlier!”
